Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior (NCFF-OWW) is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization centered on providing needed items to the wounded men and women of our armed services. NCFF-OWW works closely with military representatives of the Walter Reed Army and Bethesda Naval Medical Centers in Washington DC, Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC and the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC. Together, we ensure that useful clothing, personal entertainment electronics and get well cards are properly channeled to recovering service personnel.
NCFF-OWW is comprised of firefighter and EMS volunteers who conduct numerous fund raising events throughout the year to help meet its goals and enjoys the cooperation of the fire departments of Nassau County. Each year’s efforts culminate with a personal visit of NCFF-OWW representatives to each of the military hospitals to meet with and express our gratitude for the sacrifices that these brave wounded warriors have endured for our country.
In addition to collecting items and visiting our wounded service personnel, NCFF-OWW organizes, on behalf of the Nassau County fire service, welcome home greetings to local soldiers and marines who have recovered from serious injuries.
NCFF-OWW is NOT affiliated with the Wounded Warrior Project or any other Operation Wounded Warrior organization.
